Net Frequency 3.583 KHz – USB

1000 PSK-125 Keyboard check-in – Early check-ins allowed

1500 PSK-125 FLmsg ICS-213check-in – Early check-ins allowed

21:00 UTC regardless of daylight saving time

Configuration:

-Set ICC-7300 Power to 30% or lower

-Verify that radio mode is USB-D

-On IC-7300 Open Menu>Set>Connectors>USB Mod Level (ALC) and set to 28%

-SET>Connectors>DATA MOD to USB

-Set Fldigi > Configure>Soundcard>Devices both to the IC-7300

-Verify that filter is set to #2

Operations:  Send msg – PLS CFM Your Call Sign…. (or macro)

Troubleshoot:

If the mode is LSB Data and it needs to be USB Data –

-Touch the Mode Button (top left)

-Tap the SSB selection button (top left of the button group)

-Check radio power

INFO:

Frequency: On or near 3.968

The HF NCS will announce the frequency on 147.075.

Checkins begin at 8:00 PM

 

 

FLDIGI FLmsg VHF

INFO:

Net is usually announced on 147.075

Net is usually active on 145.590

Form is usually ICS-213

 

Configuration:

-Have a second VHF radio to monitor 147.075 while working 145.590

-Check that all cables are connected and hubs are powered

-Turn on radio and Signalink

-Start Fldigi and Flmsg

-Verify latest version of programs(schedule update as needed)

-Verify that “Soundcard” is set correctly in Fldigi to the Signalink

-Restart Fldigi if Soundcard was changed.

-Check Settings for net and Verify mode – Usually MT63-2KL –

-Verify mode is same in Flmsg

-Verify form used is set in Flmsg

 

Operation:

First message will open the View dialog

Double clicking message will open it and replace current message.

When creating new message or reply, save it before viewing another message or it will be overwritten.

When received message that is viewed closes new message, message can be found in the folder for that msg type.

 

Troubleshoot:

-Verify settings as per computer install config file

-Flmsg and Fldigi not on same mode – Flmsg>Config>ARQ Interface>Sync Modem to Fldigi

-Check Connections

-Under Fldigi Configuration > NBEEMS > Make sue the path to FLmsg is to the current version. It does not auto update.

-Restart programs

-Restart computer

 

 

FLDIGI FLmsg HF

INFO:

Net is usually announced on 147.075

 

Configuration:

-Set ICC-7300 Power to 30% or lower

-Verify that radio mode is USB-D

-On IC-7300 Open Menu>Set>Connectors>USB Mod Level and set to 28%

-ALC Level – SET>Connectors>USB Mod Level to 28%

-SET>Connectors>DATA MOD to USB

-Set Fldigi > Configure>Soundcard>Devices –

-Verify that filter is set to #2

 

Operations:

-Set mode per NCS instructions

-Open message form or answer message per NCS instructions

 

Troubleshoot:

VHF WINLINK GWINNETT ARES

INFO:

Gwinnett ARES Net is announced on 147.075

NET Freq Gwinnett Digital 145.590 simplex through digipeater LAWGA

The standard form I ICS-213 ( filled out in browser)

Usually use the ICS-213 Initial Text form

 

Configure:

-Turn on radio and Signalink

-Verify all connections as well as antenna

-Open UZ7HO and Winlink

-In UZ7HO set tings>Devices – set Soundcard to the Signaling on both TX and RX

-In Winlink – Open Session: Packet Winlink

-Set Connection Type to Digipeater

-Set digipeater to LAWGA

-Set the link to WB4QDX-10 or another available receiving station.

 

Operations:

Create and save a message with the form type relevant to the operation.

Add to Send Message.

In the Packet Winlink window, select START

 

Troubleshoot:

-Verify all settings from the computer install file.

-Restart the program and if needed the OS

-Check the UZ7HO devices – recently they have been reverting to system default.

 

 

 

HF WINLINK WINMOR GA ARES

INFO:

Usually state nets only

Good connection usually via WX4PCA-10

 

Configuration:

-Set ICC-7300 Power to 30% or lower

-Verify that radio mode is USB-D

-On IC-7300 Open Menu>Set>Connectors>USB Mod Level and set to 28%

-Open Winlink

-Open Packet Winmor session>Setup>Transmit level test and verify that ALC is reading none

 

Operation:

-Create message

-Open a Packet Winmor session

-Channel Selection > Select a channel (WX4PCA-10) Will set freq.

-Start >Sends message

 

Troubleshoot:

-Touch the Mode Button (top left)

-Tap the SSB selection button (top left of the button group)

 

WINMOR DEPENDS ON PROPAGATION, AVAILABLE RECEIVING STATION, DISTANCE, FREQ…. GET USED TO FAILURE DURING NON-REG SESSION TIMES.

When net control calls for checkins, click in once and listen for confirmation.

Most check-ins take several tries due to doubling.

Confirmation is voice

Checkins can be monitored on with Drats if the Signalink Is active in both Drats and turned on.
